This policy describes the Android version of PloX distributed through Google Play. It covers the game, its public online leaderboard, purchases, advertising and requests you send to us. Websites opened from the app may process additional data under their own policies.
The game stores settings, progress, local scores, Ploins, purchase entitlements and scores waiting for leaderboard upload on your device. Some authentication credentials and cached online data are also stored locally.
PloX stores your selected age group (under 13, 13–15, 16–17 or 18 and over) on your device. It does not ask for your date of birth. The self-declared group controls access to the game and sets advertising protections; it is not an independent age check. Players who select under 13 cannot play. If an earlier version stored the combined “16 and over” group, the app asks you to choose again because that earlier choice cannot distinguish teenagers from adults.
Removing the app or clearing its storage may remove local data and access to an anonymous profile. It does not by itself remove an existing online leaderboard entry. Purchase history held by Google Play is separate from local game data.
We use Firebase Authentication with anonymous sign-in and Cloud Firestore to operate the leaderboard. Anonymous sign-in is available only after a player has selected an age group of 13 or older. The app may create a technical Firebase user ID before you enter a nickname. This sign-in does not ask for an email address or password. The ID links the online entry to credentials held by your installation; it is not a shared login across devices.
When you save a nickname, we store that nickname and your personal best score under your Firebase user ID. The app displays nicknames, best scores and rankings to other players. The leaderboard records are publicly readable; the Firebase user ID is their document identifier. Please use a nickname instead of your real name, email address or other contact details. Nicknames are locked after the first successful registration.
Scores waiting to be uploaded may be saved locally and sent after the device reconnects. A lower score does not replace a higher personal best.
We retain the online nickname and best score until you request deletion. There is currently no automatic expiry of leaderboard entries.
Open Settings → Data & Privacy or Leaderboard → Data & Privacy, select Delete leaderboard data, and confirm. This requests deletion of your online nickname, best score and the associated anonymous Firebase account, clears scores waiting for upload, and stops future leaderboard uploads from that installation. Local progress, Ploins, purchases and the separate Unity service identity are retained.
